What is social entrepreneurship?
Post-communist countries often perceive social entrepreneurship as something old and strictly linked to the most problematic groups. However the definition changed. How do social innovators perceive it today?
I perceive social business as activity, where the main goal and motivation are not "green papers", but the effort to bring positive change, whether in the social, environmental or other area. It means to me that the desire for real value exceeds monetary values and profits.
Dominika HorňákováCEO Šumné
Entrepreneurship means to me creativity. The definition of entrepreneurship itself includes creating added value for everyone. However, this is not always true. Everyone should be benefiting from business activities whether they are owners, managers, producers, employees, distributors or end customers.
